To the Editor:

When I awakened this morning, I glanced over at the clock which said 8:01, so I decided to turn on the radio to listen to the news. I was very surprised to hear some teenybopper very excitedly babbling away about the al-Queda and terrorism and I thought what in the hell is going on? I couldn't understand what had happened to the news, so I turned the dial to another news station and I heard the same young female voice carrying on. Finally it dawned on me that this was the live testimony of Connie Rice, Bush's National Security Advisor, before the 9-11 Commission. I hope that she gets her stories straight this time, for with all hell breaking loose in Iraq in the background, with horrific Iraqi battle images on the tube every day, there is probably little the Bush Administration can do to erase the idea that they have blown this whole mess big time.

We certainly have no any legitimate business in Iraq, we should withdraw immediately and unconditionally and let the Iraqis sort out things themselves. As to the supposed Bush war on terrorism, it has taken a giant detour with the war on Iraq, which has increased the antagonism of the people of the Middle East towards our country and has had the preverse effect of increasing terrorism against us and our allies.

Yours truly,
