Nightshade, Black - Solanum americanum - family: Solanaceae (Nightshade Family).
This is an annual-to-perennial plant that grows to about three feet high.
Its leaves are oval-to-wedged-shape. In the spring, summer and fall it produces
white star-shaped flowers with yellow centers (anthers), which are followed
by black berries. Each berry contains many seeds. Note: very toxic plant,
do not take internally. Note: POISONOUS PLANT. Native to eastern, central
and western North America. Native to California.
