Don't bother petition Clairol Corporation for the return of the original classic dark green Herbal Essence Shampoo. They don't care about anything except profits, and since no product introduction marketer staff member can safely suggest that Clariol return to their original product, it will never be done. Try buying some neutral shampoo at your local natural foods store or from internet sites, and add your own herbs (mash well to release scents), such as Rosemary or Peppermint and make your own herbal essence shampoo. Help petition Clairol Corporation for the return to retail store sales of their original classic dark green Herbal Essence Shampoo, which was nicely scented. Apparently, in the last twenty years or so (just call me Rip Van Winkle James) Clairol Corporation has phased out production of its original Herbal Essence shampoo in favor of its newer Herbal Essences Shampoos, that come incidentially, in smaller 11-ounce bottles, instead of the original 15-oz size bottle.

Call Clairol Corporation at 1-800-252-4765 or visit their website www.clairol.com/ and fill out their intrusive Email form and request that they return the original Herbal Essence Shampoo to retail stores. Or write to Clairol Corporation, Division of Procter and Gamble, Stamford, Connecticut 06922.

Or call "herbal essence" at 1-800-223-5800 or visit their web site at www.herbalessence.com and fill out their intrusive Email form and request that they return the original Herbal Essence Shampoo to retail stores. Or write to Herbal Essence, Procter and Gamble Corporation, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.

Apparently, one may still purchase the original Herbal Essence Shampoo for an extragavant price of $17 for one bottle or for three bottles (the site was a little vague on this point) from the web site: http://www.vmafullfillment.com/dms-html/Clairol/index.html.
