To the Editor:

It's time for the networks and cable television to dump their vile awful so-called "reality" television shows. Enough already, all right? Don't we already get enough bad news on television each day on the corporate news and propaganda shows with torture and criminal wars waged daily in our names? These awful so-called "reality" shows are not real, any more than the so-called "adult" movies are for true adults. "Adult" movies are for male adolescents and juvenile voyeurs, who seemingly never tire of their puerile fetishes. The so-called "reality" shows are very unreal, staged events designed to humiliate, degrade and abuse its participants and create a spectacle not unlike the imperial Roman Empire's torture circuses with lions, christians, slaves and gladiators. We've come along ways, huh?
