To the Editor:

The San Francisco Comical, oh, excuse me, the San Francisco Chronicle, which purports to be reporting the news on a daily basis, reached a new low of taboid-level fluff with its massive front page story about some Indian woman guru who doles out her hugs to hordes of her starry-eyed followers (The Chronicle, 15 June 2005). Meanwhile important stories about ongoing Bush lies, ongoing Bush war crimes and the growing GOP corporate fascist mentality go unreported or merely under reported.

Is it any wonder that to get honest news reporting we have to listen to listener-supported Pacifica Radio, Air America Radio Network or go to the Internet to view progressive web sites such as The leftcoaster.com ( theLeftCoaster.com ), Black Box Voting at (Black Box Voting.org), Cannonfire (Cannonfire Blogspot), NeroFiddled.blogspot (Nero Fiddled blogspot), Common dreams (CommonDreams.org ), ( TruthOut) Tom Paine.com ( Tom Paine), BuzzFlash.com: BuzzFlash), DemocraticUnderground.com ( Democratic Underground ), Bella Ciao.org ( Bella Ciao), DailyKos.com web site DailyKos.com) and the Online Journal (Online Journal )?
